26 августа 2017 года город Щучин готовится отметить 500-летие первого упоминания в письменных источниках и 55-летие в статусе города.
С 20 августа по 10 сентября 2017 года радиолюбители города, уроженцы щучинщины и почетные члены «Радиоклуба EW4WE», проживающие в других населенных пунктах, будут активны в эфире на всех любительских диапазонах всеми видами модуляции.
Будет работать юбилейная радиостанция EV500S.
Радиолюбители города – EU4BF, EU4BOC, EU4CK, EW4IG, EW4EK, EW4EM, EW4WE.
Уроженцы щучинщины, проживающие в других населенных пунктах – EU4AG, EW4W, EW7CN.
Почетные члены «Радиоклуба EW4WE» – DL7VFM, LY2SL, RV6HMV.
За пять связей в днях активности, с радиолюбителями города Щучин, уроженцами щучинщины и почетными членами «Радиоклуба EW4WE», проживающими в других населенных пунктах, можно получить диплом «Щучин - 500».
Связь с EV500S – обязательна.
Повторы разрешены на разных диапазонах разными видами (CW, SSB, DIGI).
На УКВ диапазонах, для получения диплома достаточно установить 1 (одно) QSO с любой из перечисленных станций.
Аналогичные условия для наблюдателей, в заявке дополнительно необходимо указать позывной корреспондента.

“Schuchin 500 Years Award”
Schuchin is a town in Western Belarus (near the Polish border), about 200 km East of the Capital Minsk, having a population of 13 000 inhabitants. Over the last 15 years the town centre was beautifully renovated, the small lake and the thoroughly redeveloped historical town center invite its habitants and guests for relaxation.
On 26 August 26. 2017 the town will have a celebration to commemorate its 500<sup>th</sup> anniversary (first mentioned is written historic sources).
The radio amateurs of Schuchin (including EW4WE, the Children`s Amateur Radio Club), Schuchin district amateurs, and honorary members of EW4WE, now living in other Belarussian places or abroad, will be especially active from 20 August 2017 until 10 September 2017, using their call signs as well as the special jubilee call sign EV500S. Most different modes of operation shall be used (CW, PHONE, DIGITAL).

You qualify to acquire the “Schuchin 500 Years Award” after having made 5 (five) radio contacts with the above stations.
One radio contact with EV500S is mandatory.
Repeated contacts with a station on different bands and modes are allowed (CW, SSB, DIGI).
On VHF/UHF bands, it is sufficient to work 1 (one) of the listed station to obtain the award.
Similar conditions apply to SWL’s (and VHF/UHF listeners), however the application must indicate the 2 call signs heard
The award is issued in an electronic form, free of charge, through HAMLOG.RU.
